Consider yourself invited to these parties and join the happy crowd for a Margaret River holiday. A map of Margaret River will show the region on the south west coast of Western Australia.

The Margaret River Wine Festival is one of the biggest wine festivals the region celebrates. If you like the idea of sipping a crisp pinot gris at sunset while listening to sultry jazz tunes tinkle through the sprawling vineyard surrounding you, then this festival is for you. It's held over four days in November each year and draws people from Australia and abroad.

The event allows you to acquaint yourself with the area as the venues are dotted in outdoor settings – on cliff tops, at beaches, in vineyards and country fields. You'll also enjoy a diverse sampling of local Margaret River wine labels as more than 30 wineries take part in the festival, with gourmet dishes created by chefs working with fresh local produce.

Other Margaret River events include the Olive Celebration, which is a chance for you to experience the quality of olive oil you'd expect to taste in the Mediterranean. Margaret River weather mimics the climate enjoyed in the Mediterranean, which is another fantastic reason to visit the vineyards and olive groves of this tasty little part of Australia.
