One of the biggest Margaret River events is held a short drive south of Margaret River at Augusta for the Augusta River festival. Held in March each year on the banks of the Blackwood River, the festival presents clowns, puppeteers, acrobats and musicians to entertain the crowds on land. More adventurous types join the water games that are incorporated into the program, so be prepared to fling a fishing line or commandeer a kayak in the name of healthy competition.

The Southbound Festival is a new one-day music and arts event at Busselton. Grab a Margaret River map for directions to Busselton, 50 kilometres north of Margaret River. Take your place in the festival crowd and dance to the infectious sounds by nationally and internationally acclaimed musicians. The festival also celebrates arts projects, so expect to see some intriguing art pieces during your festival wanderings.

Petticoat Lane is a major market stall festival where pedestrians reclaim the main streets of Busselton. More than 7,000 market-goers marvel at the 200 market stalls, many of which present wares and produce by local artists and growers.
